No. Had a dealers pass for Birmingham but had to go to the sodding hospital. That would have been my first Con too.

i have attended one once, 15 years ago or more. i would like to go to one again, just can't make it happen right now.

Probably 2 conventions a year when I'm broke. After my new job in Boston starts and I can finally afford to buy the silver age stuff I really want bad, I'm gonna go to as many as I can. It's no fun going to conventions broke! haha.

 

I think the activity of going to a convention is much more personable than just buying online.

 

My main goal by the end of January 2010 is to invest in a really sick key issue to highlight my collection. I sort of want a mid grade X-men #1 but still not 100% sure. Also on my list are: Amazing Spider-man #1, Showcase #4. etc. etc. Basically a top key silver age book. I would love to bring a wad of cash with me and find one at a convention that I like. Would be really fun to hand over cash and drive home with something like this!!

Yes, but usually only small local cons. I'd like to regularly get to the Boston and NY cons but life always seems to intervene.
