What are the toughest Silver/Bronze books in 9.8?

daredevil#104 with kraven the hunter on the cover is a tough one, only 1 9.8 so far.

There are no copies at cgc 9.8.

I would've figured that for being a key book, there'd be at least one 9.8 copy. Tough book indeed!

Any DC 100 page book is tough in 9.8

 

Same thing for any book with stiff covers such as those digest sized books, because if anyone has ever opened the book it is not 9.8 anymore

Captain America #167 has only one 9.8. That is surprising.

Ghost Town already mentioned it but Avengers 103 is tough. No 9.8s and only 4 9.6s. If you have one of the four, I want it.

 

I love that book. Everything that makes comics wonderful to me is captured in that single cover.

 

Me too. My favourite Avengers Bronze Age cover. Tried to win the won offered by Heritage on March last year which sold for over $700. Probably a $1000 book by now.

Oddball DC--Binky 82.

 

Highest and only graded is a 9.2. I'm pretty sure this is a reflection of rarity, not apathy. Most people don't know this .35 cent book even exists, and you almost never even see beater copies of it.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Thor 126. This book is extremely tough in grade and a key to boot. 1 9.8 and only 4 9.6s. Heck, only 6 9.4s. Doesn't get much tougher than that for mid-60s marvel keys...

Any of the 8/80 to 12/80 Whitmans. Read by kids, not really kept by collectors. Some of them have no graded copies recorded or have copies graded over 9.6.
