Why do Anti-Pressers HATE pressing?

WOW...been reading a page or 2 on my phone here and there (this is the most I've been on the boards in like a month or more) and finally got to the end of it.

 

It's been mentioned before, but when we're talking about "TRUE" 9.8s (and many HG copies in the VF to NM/M range) the one existing and perhaps most important aspect of it is the "plumpness" of the spine. Even though comics were pressed originally, the spine is a curvature, an oval or half-circle in its most pristeen state. A squished spine, whether the result of years of age/wear and tear or pressing, should be down-graded.

 

I would like to see CGC value this.

 

Along with more detraction for mishapen and non-aligned books but I'll save that for another thread...or better yet...someone start that one tomorrow...

The book doesn't benefit, and the buyer of the book doesn't benefit. Yes, thanks for making the same object cost me 6x as much as it would have two weeks ago. lol

And no one is "controlling" anything, nor is anybody "arguing" about anything. Those are inventions.

 

And it won't get reported, because it shouldn't be. The targets of the passive/aggressive comments don't feel the need to run to moderation to deal with these things.

 

But saying these things out loud...now, that's notification worthy.
