Twilight smashes Dark Knights record on opening day!

I am beginning to think female fans are the key reasons for these blockbuster sales, the death of teen idol Heath Ledger and now Twilight and its female following.

My daughters unanimously agree that the first Twilight is the best movie ever made.

Your sig line is appropriate for this thread, Roy. No matter what we say, this series has garnered a huge following.

It's the only thing the three of them agree on so they must be right.

lol

Wonder if the comics will do well because of it.

Hope so. Extra foot traffic in LCSs would be great. Then, maybe some converts to Y or Fables.... :wishluck:

My daughter, her best friend and my wife pushed their way through the crowd to see it last night. Even with 5 screens running, they had to wait for 3 hours before seats became available. My wife thought the first one was better. Both my daughter and her friend thought the second one was the best.

Unless I have 24 hours to live, why the rush.

In the eyes of two 14 year old girls, it would certainly be the end of the world if they had to wait until next week. Heck, my daughter was mad at me for not letting her go on Thursday at midnight (opening night). On a school night at that. doh!

I remember a lot of pissed off SDCC attendees last year who couldn't get seats into a panel because the Twilight invaders refused to give up their seats so they could ensure seeing the Twitlight panel.

Signs varied from "Twlight ruined comic con" to some other more creative/explicit signs and shirts. "Vampires burn, they don't sparkle," was one. lol

Well, I certainly won't pretend to know the actual census numbers regarding the San Fransicko population, but if it's truly that small a citizen base, I would guess 740,000 of those 750,000, are gay hm

you're a complete ignorant moronic insufficiently_thoughtful_person. :screwy:

You guys are all lying, you all know what you were doing last night

Yep, I know exactly what I was doing last night......and afterwards I was a few ounces lighter :banana::devil:

I feel the testosterone draining out of my body as I say this, but my wife dragged me to see it last night. The movie was actually not bad, but the audience was composed of a) Teenage girls, b) Overweight mid-twenties females geeks and c) me... The giddy giggles and sighs everytime Jake or Edward took off their shirts was almost too much to take.

My wife tried the same thing last night....needless to say she's going with my daughter and her cousin. You had to see her when the books came out, like a crack addict looking for a fix. I'm amazed she's into this, cause she is a die hard R A Salvatore fan. I'm just happy I don't have to see this with her!!!!

I would love to see the Drizzt story lines made into a live action or a well done animated movie series. That man knows how to write a captivating story. Even a Artemis Entreri assassin based movie would be cool to.

Just the connotation of vampires being blood suckers and...well, those girl undies...is nauseating.

I realize this is a HIGHLY inappropriate comment to make, but it's not as if I'm the one who juxtaposed these into a souvenir.

And i hadn't even thought of that level of rude...

preteen girls are sheep. it has always been thus

lol As opposed to all the fanboys religiously flocking to whatever comic-related POS Hollywood deigns to bring to the big screen.

I`m reading this thread and just can`t shake the image of a glass house.
