showcase22gr1959
1 copy each graded at 9.0 - 9.6 2 at 8.5, 6 at 8.0, 4 at 7.5 For a DC book from 1956, let alone THE key, that`s a lot! Really Wonder when this book sold? It looks pretty decent. Wonder how it would fare at CGC? http://www.comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?back=%2Fsearch_adv.asp%3Fall%3Dy%26TITLE%3Dshowcase%26TITLEOPT%3DALL%26ISSUE%3D%26Condition%3D%26ConditionTo%3D%26CensusRank%3D%26SearchPageQuality%3D%26Pedigree%3D%26PRICEF%3D%26PRICET%3D%26DESCRIPTION%3D%26DESCRIPTIONOPT%3DALL%26SearchRemarks%3D%26SearchCGC%3D%26EXCLUDE%3D%26CATEGORIES%3D-1%26WCATEGORIES%3D-1%26SORT%3DCATEG%26_where_forsale%3Dy%26_where_auctions%3Dy%26x%3D47%26y%3D4%26where_forsale%3Dy&id=788029 Date stamped, no less Page 8 of SC4 club. Boba
(thumbs u I happened to be looking to see if there were any in the for sale section. There aren't. An 3.5 is coming up to auction.
showcase22gr1959
Looks better than the PGX SC22 7.0.
Flash105
It looks nice but that is a big number to pay for that risk. If that book comes back purple or even a 6.0 or 6.5 that would be a big loss.

Really Sure, those kind of numbers indicate that if he misses a 7.5 or better copy, it`s not like he`s going to be waiting for a decade before another one comes around. Boba
Ok. But 16 just didn't seem like a lot of HG copies graded to me.
1koko
Depends on how many high grade DC collectors are out there. Tim?
Flash105
That's the problem. 16 high grade DC may be like 48 high grade copies of a Marvel key.

tth2
Ok. But 16 just didn't seem like a lot of HG copies graded to me. Well, just ask Zaid how many years he`s been trying to find a buyer for his 9.2 copy.
kimik
Ok. But 16 just didn't seem like a lot of HG copies graded to me. Well, just ask Zaid how many years he`s been trying to find a buyer for his 9.2 copy. He would have no problem if it was SC #22 in that condition............... VintageComics
Ok. But 16 just didn't seem like a lot of HG copies graded to me. Well, just ask Zaid how many years he`s been trying to find a buyer for his 9.2 copy. Well, Showcase #4 is finally picking up a little steam in the lower grades. Now that all the other DC keys are taking off it should put a little wind in Showcase #4 prices as well.

innocuous
Ok. But 16 just didn't seem like a lot of HG copies graded to me. Well, just ask Zaid how many years he`s been trying to find a buyer for his 9.2 copy. I offered a trade of drawing a picture of him in a courthouse defending Flash against Zoom, but was declined. So, I'm happy with my Bob-a-loo copy.

Flash105
Ok. But 16 just didn't seem like a lot of HG copies graded to me. Well, just ask Zaid how many years he`s been trying to find a buyer for his 9.2 copy. His problem is not demand. His problem is price. He paid 62K for that book and is asking 100K. He has had auction bids up to 80K twice and did not take them. And 80K is probably in line. The 9.4 sold for 159 and the 9.6 sold for 179.

showcase22gr1959
What I find interesting is...if he had sold it at $80K (minus taxes) and put that money in the cd for 5% interest back then, he would have well over $100K on that book now. Hindsight is 20/20. Just my
