With all the love threads, hate threads and convention threads, it got me to wax nostalgic about earlier days on the boards. I realized I missed somethings and was happy about a few others not being here.

Things I miss:

Honorable mention: Wertham. He isn't really gone.

Yeah..he is.

I miss the CGC weekly trivia competitions where you could win submission coupons.

I miss the forum member roasts

I miss Lighthouse and his incredible stories "from the road"

I miss Darthdiesel, OldGuy, LucyBop and snizzenfixit

And I miss the foulmouthed Greek a lot as well.

Yours still are the best ones except you stopped writing them. :taptaptap:

You need to continue with your duties and get your mind off the competition.

Competitiveness about who writes better con reports raises the already inestimably high nerd bar for this board.

Greggy's were and will always be... the best. If I can find my camera, I might actually do one for FanExpo.

No. Sean is the anti nerd. He is singlehandedly trying to propel this forum into it's Bronze Age. The old glory-days nerds are resisting, insisting that the Golden Age is not yet over.

It's going to get ugly. Who will win?

Will some old timer, who has stayed low key for nearly a decade, from 2002 rejuvenate and re-inspire the masses towards a yet unforeseen and previously unknown glory, or will the young, brash, quickwitted upstart have his way and bring in this new order that many have been resisting for some time now?

Only time will tell.
