Jerry Weist

Jerry has just passed away.

 

Someone who has helped our hobby in more ways than I can even say. A real pioneer with a love of comic books and science fiction that would be hard to match.

 

He was a brother to me. I can't find the right words to say at this moment, except that my world, and our hobby, will be worse off for his passing.

 

He leaves behind a wife and two kids who loved him. And he loved them more that anything.

 

Rest in peace my brother, I love you.

My landscape is now empty that you are gone...........

I first met Jerry in the early 90's when he was selling the 1st batch of White Mountains.

He was such a nice guy!

A battle with cancer over the last 2 years. And, yes, he was way too young.....

He did so much for the hobby and I always got the impression

that he loved comics and was absolutely honest.

Very sad. I never got to meet him but I dealt with him enough through eBay to know he was a fine person.

Very sad news. I remember going to a show in 1986 and he gave me a lecture of about comics at his booth. He also mention he sold a Detective 27in VFish for $13500 in the past.
