I think the character has proven to have legs, so I wouldn't say this is like, say, the Sleepwalker nonsense, but this recent bump based on movie speculation that has no basis in reality? All of that 'value' could evaporate over night.

 

Logically, a non-Peter Parker Spider-man being the first Spider-man in the new Marvel universe? No way it happens in my opinion. Peter Parker is still a household name.

The nonsense part is that Sleepwalker was not a character that anything was built on... Miles is a character that has a following, and that has had creative value for many years.
