How come majority of the people here ask permission from the wifey? :)

cause they're whooped.

Maybe because their Wife is their partner?

Exactly! Just like when they go shopping and buy make up. They let the husband know. Oh wait! They don't ask permission.

Solved these problems by giving my wife a blast of Jack Herer off the vaporizer and a stack of Flaming Carrot comics. Now she picks up the books on Wed and I pick up the twins.

Glad to see I derailed this thread completely :) And no actual advice on what to do with my Preacher #13... I think I will sell. I want to get some $$$ in my paypal and save a little up to get a Booster Gold #1 9.8 when one pops up on ebay for a decent price.
Good move. With Rip Hunter getting TV screen time, Booster is bound to be on deck.

You want to know the key to stopping any wife from commenting on your comic buying? Pay off the mortgage. ;)

lol perfect answer... I usually just buy her something so she cant complain about my spending.... Last time she complained to me I told her lets switch she can work 12 hours a day to pay the bill and ill stay home and do what she does....... never heard a peep again lol

my wife has two full time jobs, so i don't have that leverage.

Why does eBay not show the "best offer" received price on the completed sales listings when it sells for less than the asking price?

http://m.ebay.com/itm/IMAGINE-AGENTS-1-DETROIT-FANFARE-VARIANT-NM-HIGH-GRADE-ULTRA-LOW-100-PRINT-RUN-/321807694078?nav=SEARCH

Comic book invest has it "just hit $200" now. Going by how eBay lists it, makes it look like it's heating up, when actually it went down:

http://comicbookinvest.com/2015/07/28/variant-heat-check-for-72815/

:gossip: FYI my actual sale was $100, $15 less than the last sale at time of announcement.

Same with my Spectre 54 cbcs 9.8, I sold it for 100 weeks before the announcement, same as last Cgc sale at the time, still says $180 sale in eBay sold listings. I know you can adjust to view actual sale someway, but still very misleading to the public.

ebay doesn't do it because they want people to think things are worth more (or not know how much less they're really worth), then the next people pay more the next time its bought, then ebay makes MORE money.

You sold it for 50% of your asking price? Do you normally do that?
