How about the top five modern CGC comics that are doing well?

 

Spider-Man #1 Chromium cover CGC 9.8 at $205

Batman Adventures #12 CGC 9.8 already a $202 comic. :ohnoez:

Wolverine #145 Nabisco Variant CGC 9.4 $200

Thief of Thieves #1 is trailing at $145

New Mutants #98 way behind the pack at only $139

$205 is low for Batman Adventures 12. It has had three sale in last three months for $300.

Yeah I was curious about that too. I had two copies which recently sold this week for around 35 dollars. I was surprised to see them both go since they were both 4th print

 

Completists are CRAZY!

Not sure about the print run, but I snagged as many as could find online in the $5 - $6 range a couple of months ago (a whopping 4 lol ) as it was going for ~$20 on eBay back then. Check out the prices on the 6th printing as well - it is an above cover book. I guess any change other than just color = bigger $$$?

 

Then again, Batman #608 and #612 2nd prints go for significantly more than the 1st prints so we should not be surprised........

I think color can be sufficient if the circumstances are right and it's only a second printing (e.g., Walking Dead 33 2nd print & unless I'm way off we'll see just color do it for Detective 871). As far as another hot second print goes, the first appearance of Winter Soldier in Captain America Vol. 5 No. 6 (the Bucky Barnes cover) should be a big book when the sequel to the Captain America movie starts getting promoted more.

It should have already taken off. I dont understand that Cap 6 book. I thought it would have been big already, but hasnt done a whole lot maybe it will take movie stills to move the price.

 

I was thinking the same thing. I have Cap 6 on my "find" list for when I dig through long boxes, but every time I find one, I'm not sure it is the right one as the prices on eBay are rather bleak compared to other "hot" movie books.
