The 2011 CGC Boards Holiday Raffle thread!

As of right now, I don't know how many prizes will be donated, but this is the way it's going to go, as far as Raffle winners and number of prizes they may choose:

1st name drawn is top prize and he/she will choose 5 prizes.

2nd name drawn is 2nd prize and he/she will choose 3 prizes.

3rd name drawn is 3rd prize and he/she will choose 3 prizes.

4th name drawn is 4th prize and he/she will choose 2 prizes.

5th name drawn is 5th prize and he/she will choose 2 prizes.

Names will continue to be drawn until all prizes available will be spoken for.

1st place will not choose 5 prizes in a row, the choosing of the prizes will be in a non-snaking formation from 1st to last, then 1st to 5th, then 1st to 3rd, then 1st and 1st once again for the last choice. Understand? Doesn't matter, I do. (thumbs u

What I understood from HolidayHam was that it'll work like this: (Let's say there's 70 people choosing prizes).

The first name drawn gets to choose first, then 2nd chooses, then 3rd, all the way to the 70th person.

Then the #1 guy goes again, then 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th.

Then the #1 guy goes again, then the 2nd, and 3rd.

Then the 1st guy gets the last 2 picks.

That's how I interpret it, however, we should let HolidayHam confirm or correct this. (thumbs u

Andy

This us correct. Good job as usual, Andy.

No. The top Five go in round robin order... but they're guaranteed their prize allotments.

So 70 prizes = 60 pickers.

1 - 60

Then #1-5 again (#4 and 5 now have two picks so they're done)

Then #1-3 again (#2 and #3 now have 3 picks so they're done)

#1 gets the last two prizes and ends up with 5 picks

1st name drawn is top prize and he/she will choose 5 prizes.

2nd name drawn is 2nd prize and he/she will choose 3 prizes.

3rd name drawn is 3rd prize and he/she will choose 3 prizes.

4th name drawn is 4th prize and he/she will choose 2 prizes.

5th name drawn is 5th prize and he/she will choose 2 prizes.

Names will continue to be drawn until all prizes available will be spoken for.

This is correct, and hopefully more clear. :foryou:

Andy

Aren't you and HolidayHam one in the same? Or have to you divided your personality into two separate entities in Zaphod Beeblebrox fashion?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I get that a lot. It's probably the snout. hm

Basically winners 1-70 make their pick. Once winner #70 makes his/her choice...

The first 5 winners get a second round of picking prizes. Once #5 makes his/her second choice...

The first 3 winners get a third round of selections.

At this point, all prizes should be picked!

And FWIW, I wouldn't be sad in the least to snag either that SGT Fury #13. Still miss that gorgeous copy I sold a few years back when fundraising for my AF15. :cloud9:

We only get one entry into the drawing right? Not two if you did the gift exchange plus donated to the raffle? Either way I am gonna try and get something together tonight to donate. Will we be able to ship this then directly to whoever wins the items we donate?

Kudos to comicdonna and thirdgreenham, both have donated so much to this
