I really like the cover of JLA 16 as well, but I'm still giving an edge to JLA 14 and JLA 17 in my personal popularity stakes. Here though are four more of my DC comics cover dated December 1962:

This is about it for my 62 books.

Speak for yourself. I'm not done yet! Here are some Adventure Comics I didn't post previously because I hadn't scanned them yet:

The thread was a lot of fun, thanks to all who contributed.

Indeed it was! That's why I'm now working on putting together my top ten or twelve covers of the year from my collection. Wait until I post those before thanking me and closing up the thread.

;)

......wow, Hep.......book after book after book in the grades you never see them in. And if that isn't a feat in itself.....you did it from Toronto where these must have been even tougher to get. GOD BLESS....

Thank you! And DC, Archie and Charlton comics from 1962 are indeed excruciatingly difficult to find in nice condition, but I've been pecking away at them semi-seriously since 1979.

Toronto though isn't at all a backwater when it comes to comic collecting. Comics were just as widely sold in Canada as the States in 1962, and Toronto had one of the first dedicated comic shops in North America, that being George Henderson's Memory Lane which opened up on Queen Street sometime around 1966-67. Had there been a store like Memory Lane in London, Ontario or had I been aware of fanzines such as the Rocket's Blast Comic Collector I might never have moved away from collecting comics as a kid in late 1964. Who knows what my collection would now be like today?

I was speaking for myself, and hopefully being out of additional 62 books is just a temporary phenomena. :wishluck:

I just wanted to work in thanking all the folks who shared their books :applause: in this thread before the year actually ended. :gossip:
