As i mentioned in your DM, the VIP is a first class convention experience. You will receive a number of perks including early admission to the hall, as well priority seating to the panels and presentations. We are setting up additional signings and such as well.

 

All VIPs will receive a gift bag, which will include items such as ORIGINAL ART from the Guests, Exclusive Variant Comics, Trading Cards, and more.

 

Due to the extremely limited nature of the items in the gift bag, we re securing each of the items before specifically announcing. The gift bags should have a significant, if not academic, suggested value.

 

And as i mentioned in the DM-

More information is coming soon, and we should have a cost as well.

 

We are working to assign an option if you have received your ticket prior, or through other offers such the Free Admission/alexis Park ticket, etc that there is a way to "upgrade" the ticket you have already purchased.

 

I will be sure to keep this board posted.

Thanks for the info Jimmy,

I just want to make sure that I can get one of the VIP tickets seeing as I bought my regular tickets a couple months ago as soon as they went on sale.

Add to this ComicWise who specializes in Bronze to present, and others- you will have a nice selection in addition to some gems brought out by local dealers.

 

Looking for Modern to the hot books of the present?

JayCompanyComics.com, Comic Madness and Dave's Comics should fit the bill, in addition to others.

 

Want a store experience at comic con?

Many of the local stores are setting up at the con including Alternate Reality, Avatar, Cheeseboy, Comic Oasis, Cosmic, Fresaken, Nerds Comictopia, Velvet Underground, and Zeros to Heroes. Other stores will be involved with the programming and gaming too.

Isn't Topedo the company that had the bankruptcy sale a year or two ago?

The one with 55,000 copies of Jemm , Power Princess or whatever it was?

That was t a truly great auction. I spent more shipping stuff back east than I spent on the stuff itself.

Shadroch- one and same. John and Torpedo has one of the best gold/silver/bronze selections at the SDCC in addition to being a company that housed overstock. After tyne auction and restructuring, you can still find Torpedo at many shows. We're thrilled to have them at Las Vegas Comic Expo

I'm thrilled to see a great turnout by all the Vegas comic stores. I'm actually in Vegas this week, and I've been casing the stores, seeing all the flyers and postcards and buying books in advance of the show. I know Steven from Velvet Underground is planning on bringing a bunch of books that haven't been offered in a while, according to him. I know Darrick from Comic Oasis is having his staff gear up his selection, I saw them prepping yesterday.

 

Two weeks to go (from tomorrow)! Got my room at Alexis all lined up, and I've been gathering all the books I'm bringing to the show. I just hope nothing big happens on that Saturday afternoon, so I can skip out for a freeroll poker tourney I'm going to play in... :)

 

Jimmy, can we set up a big screen TV/lounge in 1 of the 3 rooms on Sunday so Bill and the others can keep track of the NFL games happening? :) hehe Maybe we can set up a pop up sports book at the Alexis Park, I doubt the authorities would mind, would they? :) hehe

This information has been passed onto me from the promoter to post on the CGC boards.

Due to the heavy rain that hit Las Vegas last week and the damage sustained to a few of the conference facilities at the Alexis Park, the Las Vegas Comic Expo will be moving to the Riviera Hotel & Casino. More details will become available shortly.
