5th Annual March Madness CGC Grading Tournament- Seeding Round

I THINK the term "Within" means WITHIN but INCLUDING .5

So if you are .5 off exactly, I think you get 2 wins. Otherwise, a guess of 8.0 on an 8.5 book would get you one loss even though you missed it by only 1 grade.

I agree w/ this logic... 2c

Spot on= 3 wins

Within .5= 2 wins

Not within .5 = 1 loss

Not within 1= 2 losses

Bonus= The third spot on grade will be granted 1 bonus win, fourth= 2 bonus wins, fifth through tenth= 3 bonus wins.

This is the way I interpret this, correct me if I am wrong.

Bullseye = 3 wins

0.1 to 0.5 off = 2 wins

0.6 to 1.0 off = 1 loss

1.1 off and beyond = 2 losses

I believe I am 11-8

the 0.5 off killed me since I had a few that were right on 0.5.

The WORDING is a little weird.

The point system should become clear when Nostalgic Attic posts the results.

My wording is less clear than yours :tonofbricks:...I'll adopt yours in the future.

Having never participated in this format of March Madness before (made the finals back in the Inaugural Tourney run by Nik) i was (maybe still am) confused, but think I posted a 12-6 record which hopefully keeps me out of the "Play-in" game.

Find it pretty amazing that the final number of players miraculously turned out to be 65 (just like last years NCAA tourney).

Forgot all about this. Fun times ahead. :D

Grades not sent.

Am mulling the potential benefits of intentionally failing the seeding round.

I've been waiting a year to be able to mess with your avatar again.

If I'm following the scoring correctly, then I posted a record of 27-3.

5 bulleyes (+15 wins)

3 within .5 (+6 wins)

1 not within .5 (+1 loss)

1 not within 1 (+2 loss)

3rd bullseye (+1 win)

4th bullseye (+2 wins)

5th bullseye (+3 wins)

27-3

NA, I'm also in the SE region

Thanks!
