Here is an ongoing project that I don't think I posted before.

 

A really swell Tec 31

 

Had a "library list" glued to the inside cover, that somebody tried to tear off years ago. With a portions of the BC fused to the pink paper.

 

 

All the loose bits recovered.

 

And then being reattached. It's like a jigsaw puzzle..with wafer thin, shredded paper pieces!

And because I have been asked several times.

 

The discoloration in the guys blue jacket was already there. Either through printing error, or previous washing.

 

It is isolated, and odd.

I have not even inquired to be honest with you. I can understand why owners do not want before pics floating around..fearing they might detract from the books present condition. At least the new resto notes paint an accurate picture of what was done.

 

Personally, I am the opposite. I think if the work is of quality, before photos enhance a book attractiveness. Not only to help determine pre resto valuation, but to also form a better opinion of the work itself.

I remember seeing this Tec 31 back in 2010. Just loved the "library" style check-out card in the back. Talk about an already awesome book with even more character......

This is nothing short of amazing Kenny. I love the way you wield the leaf castIng to transform a crumbled mess of a book and turn it into a supple beauty that looks like I just plucked it off the newsstand.That shot of the spine it's gorgeous.

And not to totally kill the value of this Classic Cover book.

 

But I have to wonder just how many kids were honked off when they read the story..only to find out the Red Bee never stabbed the stoopid fish!!

 

He bends over so the big killer fish can cut the ropes around his wrists?

 

And the fish swims away.

 

I want my 10 cents back!!
