Found this while going through my books...Overstreet says it's

the origin and first appearance of the Golden Age HUNTRESS.

Thanks for all the scans Marty, esp. the Powell stuff.

Didn't remember or never knew but Powell ended up doing interior illustrations for the late-run Shadow pulps. His style is quite a departure from earlier illustrators for that book but he had practice from the comic work and the natural connection with S&S.

Thanks for your kind words! Here's one of my favorite POWELL covers from SHADOW

COMICS Vol. 8 No. 3.

While going through my collection of EC's, I noticed they used their

"storytellers", The Crypt-Keeper, The Old Witch and The Vault Keeper

in more than one title.

Ran across this while going through my BLUE BEETLE #44.

I wonder how many FOX FEATURE COMICS had their covers

cut for these Green Premium Coupons?

You mentioned you were looking for the last Stuntman issue. Harvey reduced the size of its inventory and Stuntman was reduced to small size mailers for subscription owners. It is rare but you might find it. What about the Boy Heroes? Was it publishe? It looks like a great cover. I think the Strange cover by Fuje appeared somewhere. Does anyone remember the story?

Weren't the last issues of several Harvey books -- Stuntman, Boy Explorers, All New, maybe others -- printed in small size? Only time I know of that a publisher decided to do that. Never seen or heard of Boy Heroes being published. I think one of the recent S&K hardcovers reprints the contents of Stuntman 3, along with some other unpublished Stuntman material.

In going through my HARVEY COMICS I realized that they really

used some great fillers in their regular titles, like...

from GREEN HORNET #39 and

from HUMPHREY COMICS #4.

That explains what happened to the last Stuntman issue. I wonder if the stories for the planned Boy Heroes were transferred to Humphrey.

Black Cat 1 made it to the news stand and many more issues. Boy Heroes never made it but one of the stories might have been in Humphrey. Stuntman 3 was published twice, the mailer and in Green Hornet. Strange Story?

Received a grade on my ZOO FUNNIES #101 (1).

Thought it might be labeled as 1st Charlton Comic...but "...since nowhere on

the book Charlton is mentioned, we will not be noting it.".

Funny because Overstreet does note it and CGC generally follows Overstreet. So much so that sometimes when CGC garbles a note label, you can trace it back their having misunderstood the entry in Overstreet.
