Vikingreed
A boardie sold that Hulk 180. In another thread, someone noted a 10k sale of another 9.8 copy in 2010, but otherwise nothing close. Definition of "outlier". And that $8k sale didn't happen. -J. Sweet. I felt like I was on the clock to score one, haha. How do you know? Were you the seller? or the buyer? No sale and scrubbed from GPA. -J.
DDS
What's up with Evel Knievel selling for this kind of money? Evel Knievel 1974
DavidTheDavid
Whoa, no kidding. Now if Evil Knievel came with that windup toy bike I remember as a kid, I'd be awful tempted.

Actually, the record is way more... $14,250 and $7,700 for a 182. Both were sold in a 2009 ComicLink auction, so not recorded on GPA. I don't have my old sales records handy, but I'm fairly certain another sold around $10K+ on Pedigree a year or 2 later. Back then, there were only a handful of them and they really didn't surface often.
PeterPark
That seems like an awful lot for the 182!

BronzeBruce13
Those were the days. Recently, I had to wait it out for months trying to sell a 182 9.8 for just under $2K because the previous few sales were like $1,100-$1,200 or so... while Ms. Marvel #1s in 9.8 were getting way more than that. It was a WTF moment
Vikingreed
Well if you get more 9.8s of 180 or 182, give me a holler!
Ken Aldred
What's up with Evel Knievel selling for this kind of money? Evel Knievel 1974 At least it's not Human Fly 1. That would be a bit much.
AshKenziePaul
I still vividly remember the days when Hulk 182 was in quarter bins at my fave LCS. I still remember thinking it wasn't even worth my quarter.....damnit!!!
Lonzilla
What's up with Evel Knievel selling for this kind of money? Evel Knievel 1974 Those Evel Knievel comics were given away in shopping malls when the toy line came out. I was like 5 or 6 and they had a huge set up in the middle of the mall, let kids try out the stunt cycle, which fell over after you revved it up and it went maybe 2 feet. Then they gave you the comic book, which of course got annihilated, ripped, folded etc. You have to think that over 90% of those are beyond hammered. Very very tough in high grade

Then I miss out on worthwhile sigs. And other posters miss out on the chance to have their sigs seen. I'm just saying it's too bad everyone can't tailor their sigs to be considerate, tech-friendly and family friendly.
