A boardie sold that Hulk 180. In another thread, someone noted a 10k sale of another 9.8 copy in 2010, but otherwise nothing close.

Definition of "outlier".

And that $8k sale didn't happen.

Sweet.

I felt like I was on the clock to score one, haha.

hm How do you know? Were you the seller? or the buyer?

No sale and scrubbed from GPA. :sorry:

Actually, the record is way more... $14,250 and $7,700 for a 182. :headbang:

Both were sold in a 2009 ComicLink auction, so not recorded on GPA. I don't have my old sales records handy, but I'm fairly certain another sold around $10K+ on Pedigree a year or 2 later.

Back then, there were only a handful of them and they really didn't surface often.

Those were the days. :cloud9:

Recently, I had to wait it out for months trying to sell a 182 9.8 for just under $2K because the previous few sales were like $1,100-$1,200 or so... while Ms. Marvel #1s in 9.8 were getting way more than that.

It was a WTF moment :ohnoez:

What's up with Evel Knievel selling for this kind of money?

Evel Knievel 1974

Those Evel Knievel comics were given away in shopping malls when the toy line came out.

I was like 5 or 6 and they had a huge set up in the middle of the mall, let kids try out the stunt cycle, which fell over after you revved it up and it went maybe 2 feet. Then they gave you the comic book, which of course got annihilated, ripped, folded etc. You have to think that over 90% of those are beyond hammered. Very very tough in high grade

Vague link posts, super annoying sig, bought a box of Dazzler 1's & founding member of #teamslippers

Why the hell am I not ignoring you?

Yeah, that sig line's super obnoxious. At least it's not the soft-core porn montages that keep who-knows-how-many people away...

Just turn sigs off in your preferences. :makepoint:

Then I miss out on worthwhile sigs. And other posters miss out on the chance to have their sigs seen. I'm just saying it's too bad everyone can't tailor their sigs to be considerate, tech-friendly and family friendly.
