Psylocke has been cast now. Bring out your x-men #256

X-Men #256 might get a small bump, but I think New Mutants Annual #2 and Captain Britain #8 will be the big winners here.

What do you guys think about Captain Britain #9 and #10? I believe this is the 2nd and 3rd appearance of Betsy Braddock? I have CGC copies of both books.

I don't think there will be a better time to sell then during this period leading up to the movie. Wait for the first picture leaked online of Psylocke in costume, then go to town!

The reason why X256 will never see a significant bump is because..

Well.. Its a DREADFUL cover :eyeroll:

You're high.

Pass the bong.

Right cause the mud greenish brown background works so overwhelmingly well with the Psy's turquoise outfit.. And the disorderly lines in the background make it stick out even more!

Theres no question in my mind who was stoned when drawing this cover..

Excuse me while I go throw up once more examining this cover

lol

Alright, tell me the truth....I wasn't far off, was I...?

;)

It's not the best Jim Lee cover, but it's certainly not the worst.

CB 10 is her 1st cover appearance and that thin newsprint paper makes them very tough in high grade

As far as comic book covers go, I would say it's average to below average at best. Imagine it on the rack with dozens of other comics...what makes this one stick out in any way?

It's certainly not the design ( is there any design going on here with just two characters standing there doing nothing?), it's not the composition nor the coloring.

The drawing itself is adequate, but the cover doesn't tell you anything about the story inside and frankly, it's not very dynamic or particularly interesting. 2c

not sure why anyone would care about the BRIT version, not even remotely how she will be interpreted on the big screen.

I don't think that matters. Marvel does not seem to be concerned with portraying their characters the same way the appear in comics. Collector's seem to care about the first appearance regardless.

Jim Lee - The same faces and crosshatching FOREVER!!!

JSC draws the same face with dirt on the nose over and over and seems to do ok with them. (shrug)

And Gil Kane did just fine with all those nostrils . . .

I thought it was just me. Everyone of his female characters has the same face.

I'd love to live in that universe!
