next step is to get some piano hinges and lexan or plexiglass and make yourself a couple of operable doors to help keep dust out and prevent them from falling out if the thing gets bumped

cool idea. are you going to rotate your books displayed often to make sure no fading occurs?

 

These books are just out for a picture taking ceremony. They go back in the safe. I'll put some less expensive stuff out later.

 

 

This was pretty simple to build. Even if you dont have a miter box you can make clean cuts with a circular saw using a square or a rip guide. Cost was fairly cheap also, and it does the job and looks pretty good.

 

I think I spent around $115.00 bucks and that included a quart of Behr paint. I just wanted something different and not take up space with a big cabinet.
