That's not an 8.0 and is the reason I stopped subbing books to them. Look under the desk at CGC and find the bottle of Rum and there is your encapsulation bandit.

I don't know what is up lately but some of my usual 9.8 candidates have been hit hard with 9.4's and such. I know of others who have also had grades come back much lower than anticipated recently. :frustrated:

Or maybe it's just a way to get us to start buying the grader's notes more often. hm

I am super nervous about my latest submission but all I can really do is cross my fingers and hope that the cgc gods are in a good mood when they get my books. :wishluck:

I don't understand how anybody can tell what that book should grade with just a few poor pics of the front cover.

Should we trust the owner of the book or the company that shipped that monstrosity back to him?

I'mmmmmm gonna trust the owner of the book.

Because he's a professional grader? meh

Ooooh...sounds like an 8.0 to me. (thumbs u

So the book was graded correctly and then off to stabbing where there was a malfunction. A simple call and they should reholder it for you.

So it got cracked out, signed and resubmitted...and you're shocked that it just might...might...just drop in grade?

As I said, from the grader's notes, it has suffered damage that sounds right for the grade of 8.0.

It could have been damaged in 20 different ways whilst being signed or getting cracked out the slab - which isn't CGC's responsibility nor fault.

I had a giveaway that was at least a 9.2 I dropped it at the top of the stairs. By the time it got to the bottom, it was a 4.0

Why do that when you can "shout it from the rooftops" in a CG thread?
