Snaves
Thanks October! Just wonderin' since I'm building my collection bit by bit though I get a huge thrill when I find rare books that have never seen the light of modern day. I just purchased my first two books from eBay but am not home to crack them open: I'll have to wait until Sunday night! I also just won a few books at a local auction to include BATMAN #81 and WEIRD MYSTERIES #1 in nice condition way below guide: I'll post pictures in a day or so:)
Pat Calhoun
wanted to post this to go with the Wolverton cov on previous page. Different 'monster', similar staging...from his 'Revelations' end of world sequence. scanned off copy of page from old Graphic Story Illustrated as I only have vol 1 of bible... Scrooge
I also just won a few books at a local auction to include BATMAN #81 and WEIRD MYSTERIES #1 in nice condition way below guide: I'll post pictures in a day or so:) Be sure to post those. Like October's, my purchases range a variety of sources: eBay, conventions, local shows, the boards, repeat sellers and national dealers. Over the years, I have been purchasing less and less from national dealers through the mail and buy from them if at all at cons as I have found myself relying more on local connections (given that I am not looking for any white whales or big books). adamstrange
I forget about that book and it was your mention of it in CBM that made me notice it in the first place. Was this one in your "Top 5" cover list? In any event it's absolutely classic and probably my favorite Ayers cover, bar none!
