Yeah, I remember hearing that one of my class of 2012 brethren got into the gift exchange last year. Boy did I feel stupid for not even trying.

I understand the need for a cutoff. However, when someone wants to participate in the exchange it seems to me they are showing a desire to be part of the community as a whole. I've seen long standing members sign up and never send their gift or were late. I've been one who was stiffed and it stinks. But the spirit of the holiday makes me tend toward including anyone.
