Picked up a stunning run of the early Ace singles. I think I like the singles more than the doubles. They're tiny little books compared to the doubles, and seem tougher to find, and of course, there's the great covers by Maguire, Johnson, Barton et al.... Here's a group shot of a couple of them:

Some of the early Fantasy Press books, like 'The Forbidden Garden' and 'The Black Flame', are illustrated editions: the perfect enhancement for a classic novel. Here's Donnell interiors from the Weinbaum...

These are just a few of the recent acquisitions.

Now for a few digests.  I grab any of the first 15 US Phantoms when I find them in nice shape (relatively) and the price is right.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And today I went down and picked up a bunch of great books from the gang at Dreamhaven Books.  Such a great store!  Lots of eye candy in great shape.  

They also had some very pretty Popular Libraries and a nice Avon...

I saw this last one and knew that SA would approve (and it was very fresh).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And a little Jeff Jones never hurt anyone's collection.

Posted this over in the pulps, sharing here as well for the fellow Heinlein collectors. Finally scored his 1st app. in Astounding. Finlay's only cover on Astounding as well.

 

Also picked up a copy of this "must-have" Dell 10 center... that I've never had lol. Just could never match an un-creased copy with a price I could live with. It's really a beautiful piece of work in hand.

Very pretty copy of Dancing Sandwiches, SA!!  

I'm still on the hunt myself.  In the meantime, these showed up today.  A pretty awesome bargain.  I don't know how many of the Burroughs F-series that I have doubles, triples of but if you find them fresh and relatively cheap, I must purchase them.

These were part of a group lot for $25.  Made me happy.

Lancer doubles are pretty sweet when they're clean and fresh.  Also, Monarch JD.

And a little Maguire and some Frazetta to wrap today's arrivals.  Not bad!

Lots of killer books - the thing about the Ace singles is the size - they're so compact and look fantastic when they're minty. I can't stop buying them either!

I saw this lot... but too late  Congrats - I would've made you pay more for that   Belarski, Schomburg, unsigned Ray Johnson and a super L.B. Cole cover in one lot!?

Got a decent copy of this Woolrich original. I am getting close to having all the golden age Woolrich/Irish titles I want to collect. It's taken a couple of years but i'm getting there

Got another one of the elusive last few Irish/Woolrich vintage pbs. He had a lot published!

 

And a decent copy of a book I sold long ago and didn't think I'd get another copy of but the right deal came along

It's unreadable to me but such an iconic cover that it has to be in any JD/Drug collection
