"In many respects, Azrael will have many of the hallmarks and traits that we know from the comics," Stephens told ComicBook.com. "But it will have a brand-new twist upon that character; the way we're going to bring that character into being on our show will be different than anything we've seen in the comics." Bosco685 Posted February 16, 2016 Share Posted February 16, 2016 Not even death can keep him down. That is what fans of Gotham will be saying when James Frain returns to the series later this month. Heavy speculation that he would in fact be returning as Azrael was pretty much confirmed when shots of him on set surfaced in a costume that is very reminiscent of his comic origins.
