...You can say the same for Image as well, but add in the fact that their new #1s are selling at lower levels than in the past as the speculators have moved on.

Good point from a distributor level. The difference I see is in the actual sales to customers. Black Science #1 was sold out at Midtown within a month. You can still buy Huck #1A and 1B, both 1st prints, in quantities of at least 25 each. The book came out 11/18/15.

Midtown (limit 50)

DCBS at $1.75 (limit 5)

https://www.dcbservice.com/product/sep150568/huck-1-cvr-a-albuquerque-clearance

You can also buy the B cover at TFAW (limit 5)

This could be because more people are doing what I am and buying more stuff digitally or it could be that there is less demand. Which or what do you think is causing it ?

Everyone is keeping those digital sales numbers a secret, so it's hard to know. Personally, Image sells great for me, and when I do sell out there are reorders available or 2nd prints. The demand for it is still there at my store.

Marvel has actually done a good job about keep extra copies available also, as I reordered on Doctor Strange #1, ANAD Avengers #1, Thor #1 a month after the fact... Doc Strange finally sold out but the other two and others are STILL available, 3 MONTHS after they were originally released!

And Millar (Huck) over prints.

ICv2 has the latest information concerning Digital sales. We'll probably know if the next 4 months what Digital sales were in 2015.

In July 2014 it was reported Digital sales hit $90 million in 2013:

http://icv2.com/articles/comics/view/29068/digital-comics-sales-grow-90-million

In June 2015, Digital sales climbed to $100 million in 2014:

http://icv2.com/articles/markets/view/31908/digital-comics-hit-100-million

All indications are Digital sales growth have slowed dramatically. And based on sales in 2014, it looks like Digital accounts for roughly 1/5 of comic sales.

I was thinking more along the lines of 2012 through East of West #1 when the speculative bubble was in full swing. Everyone was chasing Image #1s in the hopes of hitting the next ToT or Saga #1 (or Panzerfaust #1  ). Basically, every Image #1 was speculated on and sold out in the LCSs within a day or two. Now they sit for a while.

Looks like Star Wards and Darth Vader are continuing their slow and steady decline. Star Wars sold less than 110,000 copies in March.

I am curious to see how far Batman drops with Snyder/Capullo leaving. Their run has been brilliant on the title and I will be one of many who are sad to see them go......

185. Army of Darkness Furious Road 1 $3.99 Dynamite 8,605

One to look out for is:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ARMY-OF-DARKNESS-FURIOUS-ROAD-1-ULTRA-RARE-VIRGIN-VARIANT-ONLY-100-MADE-PRINTED-/371573716552?hash=item568384f648:g:FXkAAOSwyjBW5OI~

Looks like Batman/TMNT are selling well

13 Batman Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4 $3.99 DC 65,132

Which means that possibly:

269. Batman Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 $3.99 DC 5,000 (2nd print???)

May be a good pick

Wonder which print this one is:

286. Dark Knight III Master Race 3 $5.99 DC 4,621

It cant be 1st print. I know it cant be that low a number

Same goes to:

294. Spider-Man 1 $3.99 Marvel 4,474

Which print is that?????

And last

368. Badger 2 $3.99 Devil's Due 2,867

:sorry:

April sales estimates

The Walking Dead #153 - 67,358 - Best book to spend your time and money.

East of West #25 - 19,297 - If it came out more consistently, this would be my #1. Its still my personal favorite.

4Kids Walk Into a Bank #1 - 17,303 - The most fun book to read since Todd the Ugliest Kid on Earth

Black Road #1 - 16,572 - Wood will have a following. Fingers crossed that it gets better.

The Fix - 14,959 - Thought this was surprisingly low

Dept.H #1 - 9,319 - Lemire and Kindt ? are you kidding me ? This was too low imo.

Black Eyed Kids - 6,658 - Made me smile. This book may be a sleeper.

Its all because of this stupid thing I have that I can't seem to get rid of...a job. Then there are the wife and kids, 2 dogs, and my actual comic book reading between discussing fun stuff with you guys. lol

I'll try to get rid of something...maybe the job ? (shrug)
