Comic Connect/Metropolis wont be able to claim the world record now after this

This just in, Vinnie and Fish on suicide watch :news:

Classy.

I wouldn't be surprised if they end up getting involved in the purchase of this book (not necessarily for themselves, but on behalf of a client) to claim a piece of the action.

Emailed with the owner. He's well known by a few people around here. He said the book is committed to auction as planned but didn't say which one.

What an absolutely gorgeous looking copy.

I am betting the guy who owns the Cage 9.0 buys this one too. If your goal is to own the most valuable comic book on the planet (which will clearly be this 9.0 copy now) why not? I suspect we see the Cage copy back on the market within a few years because the same guy is going to own both.

why would that even need to happen ?

- ebay: open to a gazillion bidders

- tons of exposure 1 month before auction

- on the news everywhere

- every deep pocket collector/investor on the planet will know about it

why would the owner want/need to have Fishler cut into his profit ?
