2014 Halloween is Upon Us!

I'm still deciding on what I'm dressing up as, but I'll be taking part in a master's level jack-o-lantern carving contest.

 

On a related note, this guy was my neighbor until a year ago. I remember seeing him as the leg lamp.

I actually had to stare at the flamingo one for a little bit to figure out the composition.

I normally don't do a costume or anything on Halloween. This year I got inspired from my favorite TV show.

All add some pics tomorrow just finished the yard.

 

I do about 200 trick or treaters a year and on Friday I am going all out this year.

 

You hear my house before you see it as Night mare on my Street, Thriller or any of another 300 songs is playing thru speakers in my yard.

 

I run a fog chiller in my yard with tombstones, spiders and such its a blast.

For the past 6 years we have given candy and comics out to the kids, and this year we decided to step it up. In addition to the spinner rack we added some life size cutouts for pictures. Pumpkins carved in familiar patterns and 2+ hours of The Super Friends DVD.

 

The kids and the parents loved it. One of the best comments was from a kid saying how he still has each comic from the past 5 years.

 

It also seems that I am either "The comic book guy" or we are "The comic book house". Both were heard throughout the night.

I never thought about giving out comics. I'm going to have to seriously consider that next year. Here are my little ones getting ready for trick or treating.

had a decent turnout, down a bit from last year. handed out about 100 comics and 120 bars of candy. had two requests for GOTG. nearly got wiped out of Simpson's books.
