Picked up the JSC X-Infernus variant for $4 today. The Magik cover. Definitely a solid 9.6/9/8. Not exactly a super rare book, or ultra desirable, but it's pretty cool.

I actually love that cover. It's cool that the top and bottom half of the comic are essentially two different art pieces. Yet, still flows seamlessly. Also, not many cgc 9.8s have been graded last time I looked at the census. So 9.8s don't really pop up often.

I actually prefer this cover over his recent variants he has put out the last year lol that includes the black cat/silk and all his renew your vows, etc. Doesn't really show skin or have that T&A factor. However, the cover is just awesome. IMO

Looks like a 9.8 sold today for $200? So might be desirable to others =)

Looks like your $4 pickup is a good deal if your book is a 9.8 candidate. lol

I'd say mine is 9.6/9.8 almost certainly. But it was a best offer. So it might have been a little lower than $200. But still, not a bad pickup for my cost.

I still think there's massive future potential in these as

a) JSC cover with MJ is always $

b) very few people in Hawaii compared to other cities, travel there is expensive.

c) print run seems very low, listed at $90 on JSC site

I picked up a copy of that Spider-Man #2 Captain America 75th Anniversary Variant Cover...it was just to stunning to pass up. Grabbed one at Midtown for $72 before they sold out. Most I have ever spent on a non-slabbed, non-signed variant but...it's JSC...and it's a beauty.

And I'll def be looking to either get it signed and slabbed later this summer, or pick up a signed copy directly from his store when he posts it.

I bet 95% of the people that currently own them have never been to Hawaii.

Not a lower print run than any other Marvel con / store variant.

:gossip:they are $50 at the other guy's store.

Buy them if you like them (thumbs u

Hawaii is so over-rated (gasp!), I don't understand why people don't go to the Caribbean (shrug) its better on every level.

I am currently on Kauai for my Honeymoon and know your statement to be 100% False. (tsk)

I do own the MJ Color cover, and have been to Hawaii. Twice.

This falls into the same Category as Captain America White for me, going to pass.

Yup, or this guy:

Avenging Spider-Man #1 1:100

At least Spider-Man is actually on the cover to his own book!

We'll agree to disagree, but do yourself a favor and visit the Caribbean ;)

PM me where you think I should go to compare these Mountains, Caverns, and Beaches on Kauai. It is nothing at all like Oahu, Honolulu reminds me of New York City with a nice climate and a few beaches more than any "paradise"

Thanks man, we got hitched in October, and waited for a splurge trip. We have done a bunch of hiking, beach going, pool swimming, hot tubbing, driving and other "marital" things. Today we are watching the 40-50ft waves of "The Eddie" surf competition from the comfort of our room an Island away. I heard this kind of swell is "Once in a lifetime....", the waves are still huge by us too though. It's been a poor outside weather day but is clearing up and only 3pm here. I have time! haha
