Read the entire series once since it's a must-have-read run but it left me cold. I recognized the quality of it but not my cup'o'tea. I passed on my set of trades once I finished reading.

 

In fact, along these lines, I checked out the first trade of The Sandman from the library. I had all the hard covers in the late '90's (sold them off a long time ago) so I read the entire run but wasn't bowled over by it. It's time I gave it another shot. I'm curious to see how it goes these days.

No worries. I believe a lot of us are reading through our Marvel U account.

 

I haven't posted the update yet but I just finished catching up with Avengers & New Avengers over the weekend and though I don't always love Hickman, I believe these two series are good work on his part. I favored New Avengers over Avengers and I like the situation he has created with the Incursion and how the Avengers versus the Illuminati are dealing with this. Cap's trip to the future was a great set up as was the recurrence of the Incursions in New Avengers. All in all, I was entertained throughout the past year of Avengers-dom.

FWIW (a.k.a. nerd alert),

 

here's my current breakdown of reading:

 

U.S. / Foreign - 77% / 23%

 

Digital / In Print from Library / In Print from my collection - 55% / 28% / 17%

 

I have two digital subs: Marvel Unlimited and Izneo for all the foreign material.

 

Reading digitally is soooo convenient but over the next few months, I'd like to shift two things and have one other goal:

 

1) go back and read more foreign material. Ideally push that to 33%

 

2) read more from my in print collection. Meaning reading more strip collections

 

and 3) I want to bring myself current on the Marvel U. sub ... but that will fight the two goals above as I have about a backlog of 230 issues to read through to get current! + I have another 30 back issues series I'd like to start reading on Marvel U. ...
