Recoveries of this sort are just a matter of time and momentum. As time passes, the momentum increases. Sort of like a big stone at the top of a hill. Difficult to get moving, but once it starts picking up speed there's not stopping it. BZ, I think, will be that rolling stone.

Hi Everyone, BZ's wife here.

 

BZ is improving in little ways every day, though it's not always easy for him to recognize it. He really likes his therapists, who he sees at rehab twice a week. His reading has improved a lot, especially thanks to reading books with our daughter.

 

His recovery will be a loooong, slow, difficult journey but, hopefully, he'll be back to posting here himself one of these days.

This is good to hear. A stroke can be the worst thing imaginable. Maintaining his mental faculties is wonderful. I hope he sees the silver lining in that and it sustains his mood.
