One of my favorites. Finally snagged one myself. The #4 and #15 get all the love, but there are some other great genre blending covers too in this crime run. Especially this one from Mr. Hollingsworth :cloud9: (again with a 'Baker-esque girl)

This is my most recent pick-up. Taped at the staples, but eye-appeal is good. I imagine the cover would be detached if not for the tape. A gorilla cover!

Issues 1,2 & 5 seem to show up frequently, not so 3 and 4, with the Mickey Spillane Mike Danger stories - originally planned as a newspaper strip in the late 40s. The art on the story isn't nearly as good as the Mort Drucker cover.

One of the more violent splashes from the era. Too bad this isn't the cover. From Exposed #2.

How did comics ever get the reputation as kids fare when stuff like this preceded what i grew up on reading? Shocking and Cool at once!

Scrolled back through the thread - so many great books posted and many beautiful copies at that.

I'll try and look for stuff that hasn't been posted already.

This was the first CDNP I ever bought - years ago. Not a cover that gets much attention, but the dead guy with his eyes rolled up in his head and the cards stuffed in his mouth is classic.

A post-code Johnny Dynamite. These are harder to find than one would think.

The classic issue of my favorite run. The pre-code Johnny Dynamite books are all worth owning, he is by far the most hard-boiled of the comic book private eyes of the time. In addition to the nifty green cover, this issue features Johnny getting shot in the eye, prostitution and dope.

Love the hard-edged stories in this series..
