I still haven't found a decent 302. I think it is harder than US 205.

Anyone have any idea if the print runs changed when OAAW and SSWS had their title changes? Or did they remain the same?

Weird,

I got this copy (9.0 - 9.2) and the US 205 (9.4 or better) on the same day at the Silver Snail in Toronto. This was $15, the US was $7. Maybe four years ago. A GREAT DAY!!

I don't know if there was a printing dip around this time, but I have heard many a DC fan say there was a definite circulation dip in the 1977-78 period. Jeanette Kahn had started retooling many aspects of DC, and a lot of old timers were leaving the organization. I'm sure the implosion in 1978 didn't help much. But all DC books of this era seem rarer in high grade than their 1973-76 counterparts.

Sorry man, but I think looking at nice copies of cool comics is something that people on this thread dig. Here are some more early HG Sgt. Rocks.

Sgt. Rock 315 - If you've got this issue, take a look at how clean and tidy Frank Redondo's syle is compared to his later work in the 1980s. I wonder if he was being directed to be more 'Heath'-like. Either way, there's killer artwork in this one.

Sgt. Rock 320

Another beautiful art job by Redondo, rivalling some of Heath's best work from a few years previously. Has anybody ever seen any of Redondo's original art from this series surface? I've never seen even a single page.

Just another lovely collection, Greggy. Our Fighting Forces between #123 and #161 are one of the Bronze Age's great treasures.... and ignored by so many collectors.

Are your SSWS and Weird War runs just as complete in grade? I've sort of collected mine in a bit of a vacuum over the years - are there many other guys out there with complete bronze age runs in grade? I'm about 20 or 30 upgrades away.

Nice books once again,

Shep

Yes, my SSWS and WWT runs are pretty well complete. However, some still need upgrading so I will work on those next year.
