The Undead Thread: Pre-Code Horror 21 21

Not an Uncanny but an Unseen. A recent pick up that I always thought had the skeleton hand in the foreground but it is actually a giant hand as you can see one of the fingers goes behind the woman's head!

 

 

 

Stories were average with the exception of "The Vegeance Vat" that has a guy getting boiled alive.

I love the cop's nonchalant response of "Yeah!"

Early Gene Colan..... very moody.....

 

 

for coolness. A very nice book with the black cover and one of the few for which the left-side bars add to the overall "terror" feel.

Yeah, that IS a great, weird cover. I want to read it now! For some reason it reminds me of Paul Chadwick's side project away from Concrete. What was that series called? Where the characters go beneath the earth?

Wow. That totally deserved a bump. Colan is such a distinct style and I've never seen any of his early work. Thanks!
