Here's Spellbound #14, which sports an awesome Everett "grinning skulls" cover (and even a bonus skull in the teaser box). I've sold off my other Atlas precodes over the years, but am still holding onto this book...hopefully it's obvious why!

Man! I can't believe I've never noticed that cover before! NICE! hail.gif

You know, I had never seen this cover either, until it appeared in the 2001 (I think?) Overstreet Guide gallery of covers. I loved it! It took quite a while to find this copy.

Bill Everett did so many awesome Atlas covers, but I'm especially drawn to these "evil-grinning-monsters" covers of his. Adventures into Weird Worlds #6, Mystic #18, and a red cover with an evil skeletal clown in front of a mirror (can't remember the issue...anyone?) are other favorite precode horror covers of mine.

Thanks for the kind words, guys! thumbsup2.gif

27_laughing.gif Thanks! I can never keep ALL those obscure Atlas titles straight. Had a feeling you'd be quick on the draw! thumbsup2.gifhail.gif

Very true!...a mind-boggling stack of titles. And for an Atlas collector, it doesn't make a lot of sense to try to focus on just one of the horror titles and blow off the others, as the standout covers and stories are sprinkled through all of them.

This one was a total steal at $110.
