"Bertha gets Buried." Yuck. That just doesn't sound quite right. tongue.gif

Well, she certainly has great hair!

The more I think about it, the more it sounds like a bad porn title. Anyway, maybe her hair is courtesy of a lightning bolt from that storm in the background?! Nah. There'd be smoke in that case.

She kept up the mane, but took her anorexia a tad too far it would seem. gossip.gif

I like my dames with little bit of (rotten) meat on them, personally. insane.gif

Did anyone like the perspective of the "Open Wider, Please!" teaser above? confused-smiley-013.gif

I barely noticed it at first, but upon further review it looks pretty cool to me. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

I missed it, but you're right -- very cool! thumbsup2.gif

I always touted the Atlas side panels as the artist had to quickly convey the essence of the story in such a small image! That's a great one! thumbsup2.gif

I always thought the side panels distracted from the main cover, but that one is pretty funny. I'll have to look at them more closely. I also assume the cover artist did the entire cover, so he had to convey images drawn by other artists from the stories in the book.

I too like the full cover artwork better but this is a trait of the Atlas books that I've come to appreciate as much as the three "Horror Hosts" on the covers of the EC books.

Russ Heath commented that the artists were given the title and nothing else to go by. They made it up, which is why so few match up to the interior.

UNCANNY #18, nice full panel cover, and contains the noted Hitler & concentration camp panels.

There are just too many reasons to like this book! Thanks for posting!.

BTW, when we do we get to see pics of the little "monster" that arrived at your place this spring? flowerred.gif
