Has anyone else noticed that Clink has protected their scans so they are no longer editable? I can copy them, but if I try to crop/reduce them to use them for my registry set the file cannot be saved and disappears. I like their scans, and usually snag them for my wins, so this is a hassle.

Hi mysterio,

Not sure what is happening, but I'm not having this issue. I don't copy the scanned CLink pic, I use the "Save picture as" option and save them on my local drive. I can crop & edit that file from there.

Just did that for my July CLink wins and the original file and the cropped images are still on my hard drive and in the Gallery.

I do the same thing, "save picture as" and put it on my desktop. But after I crop it and resize I'm unable to save the edited version and both disappear off my desktop. Weird.

Haven't really noticed this.  Got an example I can DL and play with?

I'm seeing it on every scan I've tried. Occasionally I'll try to grab a scan of a different book to save it and I can't save edits.

Maybe you are saving them as protected files?

Maybe, but I've been saving the scans the same way for years. I've only run into this problem in the last 2-3 auctions.

I've just tried it. Don't seem to have a problem resizing, cropping, or editing any of the images. I just SAVE AS, and once I have the file locally, I can do pretty much whatever I want.  I use Paint.Net for all my photo shopping needs.

I was a little slow paying for last months auctions so I sat out this one.  I did check out the prices on the 1st day of the copper/modern day and there was not huge deals left on the keys so I moved on.  Hopefully me not bumping stuff up (usually bid on 40-50 books in a given auction) gave some people some steals.

Not exactly sure what I'm seeing with Comiclink or Comicconnect's auctions.  Lots of lower grade stuff, much of which is selling for less than the price of grading.  Guess I can understand with having to sell ALL of the  Berk books.  What's the rationale for Comiclink?

What is special about marvel age #41 in 9.8 that it would sell for $650?

Perhaps you are only looking at the Comiclink session that was running last night? Here's when the particular sessions ended:

Tues, 7/25: Session 1, Evening 1 Select, Key & High-Grade Silver and Bronze Age Comics (pre-1976)
Wed, 7/26: Session 1, Evening 2 Select, Key & High-Grade Silver and Bronze Age Comics (pre-1976)
Thurs, 7/27: Session 2: Golden Age comic books and Superman Memorabilia
Fri, 7/28: Session 3, Evening 1: CGC Graded Late Bronze, Copper and Modern Age Comic Books (post-1975)
Mon, 7/31, Session 3, Evening 2: CGC Graded Late Bronze, Copper and Modern Age Comic Books (post-1975)
Tues, 8/1, Session 4: Assorted Comics and other Memorabilia
Wed, 8/2, Session 5: Original Art
Thurs, 8/3 Session 6: Sports Cards

There were plenty of high grade books selling for high grade prices on the other nights. "Assorted Comics" is where they relegate lower grade books for bottom feeders like myself.
