Robot Man
Next stop was the Tall Texan. He always brings me a box of oddball, affordable GA. Bought a nice stack at actual very cheap prices. Bought a few nicer books including s nice electric chair cover crime book I’d never seen. We talked some baseball and politics, the boards and of course funny books. Here he is still trying to explain to a Dodgers fan how the Asterixes won the 2027 WS... Always a pleasure Ritchie! Popular Post Robot Man
Vinnie from Metro working hard as he always does. This man is really blessed to have a job he loves so much. Metro actually had a Supe #1. A book that seldom turns up at a show. Low grade but a Supe #1! bpc3qh, jimjum12, Gotham Kid and 2 others 4
Robot Man
Ritchie Munchin all the way from FL. Haven’t seen him in many years since I don’t do SDCC anymore and he gave up WonderCon. He had some real cool books including a Reform School Girl which I rarely see a cons. Talked baseball and comics. Was talking to someone about the scarcity of Mylar right now. Ritchie remarked that he doesn’t need them anymore because all he deals in are graded books. Was a time he wouldn’t touch them. Guess he drank the Koolaid... Popular Post Robot Man
In 50 years collecting there isn’t much I’ve never seen but this is one. This is one of them. The Superman workbook with the covers to #14. Comic book size but printed on nice paper. Has blew printing with a couple Supe stories in front and activities in the back. I asked the price as the dealer didn’t know what it was. I ended up making him a VERY large and fair offer but he wouldn’t sell it... bpc3qh, Larryw7, adamstrange and 3 others

I had to post this BigBoy wannabe I saw in a little town in Kansas. He somehow looks like Snoopy and Charlie Brown at the same time. Never cared for the sandwich but loved the strawberry pie. Robot Man
No comic show would be complete without Mike Carbo. He is moving and dealing and slamming stuff in and out all day. I don’t know where he gets all the weird stuff he does but I always go through it. He had a nice stack of Mars Attacks cards. I actually got one of the last ECs I needed for actually a steal. Gotta hit him when he all amped up. Gotham Kid, jsilverjanet, Larryw7 and 1 other 1 2
Robot Man
More dealers walls including Harley, Jamie Graham, Torpedo and A-1. I about wet my pants when I saw the early Adventure surfing cover issue on their wall. Had a large piece off the cover and was cheap. I have a beautiful cover. Then I looked at it and it was missing a bunch of pages as well... Had to pass. bpc3qh and Gotham Kid 1
Popular Post Robot Man
At every con there is always one surprise booth that makes your day. Back in the back at the end of the room were these guys. The Seeker’s Eye from Portland OR. They had the most unusual books in the room. My best books came from them. I look for the lessor publishers and they had a number of them including a Prize, America’s Best and a few others. VERY fair pricing. They even had a nice box of GA that they recently got from an OO collection that wern’t shown or priced. I got to go through it and snag a couple. Unusual to find books like this especially a good prices. Spent most of my wad there. Eric and Marcus are great guys. Made a great connection and really enjoyed handing my money to them. Thanks boys! Sorry for the bad photos. The lighting was terrible in there. If you look close you will see a lot of real unusual books on their wall. Popular Post Robot Man
Was a great day. Saw a lot of boardies. Too many to mention here. Was great talking with you guys! Bought a lot more books then I thought I would including a few I really wanted but rarely see for sale. Found as I thought I would, a lot of sticker shock. Comics are hot and is a seller’s market. Buy it or the next guy will. Real hard to replace stuff once it is gone so I don’t blame anyone for marking them up. Best Buy’s as always came from box diving and asking. Stuff always comes out from under the tables if you ask... It has been WAY too long. Probably a year and a half for me. I also figured this will probably be it for me this year so I went all in. I got a 3 day pass figuring I’d go back today but decided not to. This is really only a one day show for me. I can easily box dive every GA box I want and socialize all I want as well. When I came out to my car, the window was broken! Nothing stolen but now I need a new window. The covid cases are spiking hard again and even though I’ve had my shots, I just don’t trust a lot of those attendees. Today will be packed. I bought everything I wanted and still came home with money. So as much as I wanted to go back, I figured I didn’t need to. Can’t wait for next year already! Just part of my haul. jimjum12, fatlab123, Larryw7 and 13 others 15

I saw no Centaurs. The Prize came out of a box under the table. Was looking for real early FH, Nedor Schomburgs, Speed, Four Favorites, MLJ, Ace and the like. VERY few to mostly none. A couple priced at the moon. As I suspected. Tough being an “advanced” collector on a budget. Luckily, I “lowered my standards” a few years ago to pick up stuff that was a little off the radar. I’m not super picky grade wise either. alexgross.com and circumstances
