Ugh, I fooled myself into thinking there was a 1" tear in the back cover of the TEC #378. 

Patrick and Logan are adorable gents.

I started at a 9.8 at first glance... then when I saw the shadow I knocked it down to 9.0... I then proceeded to do a few hours of research... slowly worked myself back to a 9.6...

I went 9.6 and 3.0.  4.0 is a generous grade for that back cover mess.

I went all in with 9.8 on that Detective Comics but then whiffed on that Spidey by grading it a 2.5.

Yup it is, don't think this book would normally go above 3.0

I thought the top left corner of the Tec had a bunch of really bad creases (didn't realize that was the art)

On the asm 194 back cover, was that white out or something (not the bottom left mess). Maybe just something created by the slab kind of like the newton ring effect?

For the large stain... I was struggling with that as I wasn't sure if it was distributor ink?

Still went 4.5... I'll take it.

On the detective, I was thinking 9.6-9.8 on first glance. Ended up going up 9.4. thought there was a shadow on top left corner, back cover.

I graded detective comics 9.4 because of the Browning on the back cover. I guess that does not matter? Would have graded it even higher.

I know Overstreet is not the bible, but "The largest piece allowed missing from the front or back cover is usually a 1/2" triangle or a 1/4" square" for a 2.0. This measures 1.05 in.
