Not quite this week, but finally got around to snapping pics of my pickups from Terrificon a few weeks back. Got 8 more books to scratch off my list to complete my full UXM v1 run (only 66 left to go...), plus a bunch of great X-related 80s mini-series (I love the covers of those Nightcrawlers, always have), some one-shots, and some X-related Amazing Heroes issues. The printer's proof sheet of the X-Men Series 1 cards looks amazing, and now aside from getting it framed to hang, I have a goal of trying to catch Jim Lee at an NYC-area con to get it signed by him as well...

Added more to my Wolverine , Superman,  and Action Comics newsstand runs.

Went on a family road trip to Florida. Broke away a few times to check out some local comic shops to get my fill. Hit a total of four stores and picked up some junk:

Comic Shop #1 - Coliseum of Comics, Kissimmee, FL

Impressive wall with lots of silver to bronze boxes to dig through. Also more current copper to modern back issues. All those great books but just picked out some common books for my runs:

      

 

Comic Shop #2 - Coliseum of Comics (Millenia), Orlando, FL

Met Jack, the buyer, who popped into the store. He said that he used to work at Graham Cracker Comics and told me to check him out on YouTube (that, I did).

Lots of nice early silver Wonder Woman books. But I got these instead:

        

Will be adding that Daredevil Annual #4 to this box...

 

Comic Shop #3 - All Books and Comics, St. Augustine, FL

Random stop-off on the way to Castillo de San Marcos. Checked it out.

Yes I did buy those She-Hulks. "Semi-Final issue?" What are we referring to - the Stanley Cup playoffs?

 

 

Comic Shop #4 - Fourcorners Comics, Gettysburg, PA

I liked this store. Good selection of bronze-copper back issues at reasonable prices.

            

... and that's all folks.

Thanks for the report.  Those Coliseum shops look very clean and well organized.  That's a good sign in my opinion.

Picked up Airboy Comics Vol. 3 #9 (1946) which I had been after for a while as it contains the first Heap solo series (only 18 on the census and this copy will eventually be the 19th). It fits nicely in my Golden Age Heap collection (I'm just putting together the Heap's first appearance,  first solo outing, and cover appearances). I have a few more books to go at this point.

Just grabbed this at a local because what else is an electrical engineer who just moved to Jersey supposed to do.
Don't see it in the GCD. They have other pamphlets like this listed by this publisher tho, wonder if it's because they messed up the publisher name in the indicia.
