It got 7500 for a 6.0 when you look at Cap Aero 26 in a 7.5 for 7800 seems like a high but who is complaining not me

I own both, in lower grade, but always liked Flight a little more. Contact 12 is still the big kahuna of Cole's "Big 3" sci fi covers in my opinion.

Same here with the Contact but some don't care for that one i still think it is his best sci-fi cover

I tend to only track a few grades that are near what I have, but I don't often get the exact dates.  My copy is a 5.0, so the last few I had were:

5.5 on CC / $6,200  |  5.0 on CC / $9200.

$10,200 on the Cole Mask #1 pencil prelim (for the painting recreation) from the 1980s.  That is WAY beyond what I expected.  I just don't see the value for an unfinished prelim.  The PAINTING sold for $7100 in 2014.

Me too. I think it went low, well a little low. It was a nice 6.0 but then again a passable 5.0 went for 6.6 and the Feed Store 6.0 9.6k. but that one was a real nice 6.0.

Captain Flight 11 is a top 5 Cole book for me and I think his best sci-fi cover.  Better than the Captain Aero 26 because of the black cover, level if CA 26 is a little scarcer. To be able to get a top Cole book in 6.0 for $7500 seems like a good deal to me.

I also have Captain Flight 11 as a top 5 Cole. In my anecdotal search experience, I've found Captain Flight 11 to be more difficult to find than Captain Aero 26, which I also have as a top 5 Cole.
