If you submit them for slabbing,by the time you get them back from CGC ,they’ll be rusty!

Looks like it has already hit Heritage's prescient auction listing description of this book coming in at more than 10X condition guide as it's already touching on 5-figures with another 2 days to go.  Then again, not really that much of a surprise considering how super rare and tough it is to find a copy of this book here with only 4 Universal unrestored copies on the census.  It also looks like the purchaser of Jon Berk's highest graded Church copy at CGC 8.0 must be absolutely ecstatic when they purchased it for what now appears to be a bargain basement price of only $13,800 back in the summer of 2017.  :applause:

I guess this goes to confirm that there are some diamonds in the rough just waiting to be mined in some of these later Fox books.  Some of the tougher ones and the ones that are also extremely HTF, if not impossible, to find in grade are the very few issues of Mystery Men and Wonderworld's that were not present in the Edgar Church collection.  Books such as Mystery Men 22 & 23 and Wonderworld 24 with census counts in the same ballpark as this U.S. Jones 2, but yet still only maxes out in only mid-grade condition in terms of highest graded copies to date.  If only we could have a repeat performance or a second shot at some of these books from the Jon Berk Collection.  :cloud9:  :takeit:

I know these parts have long heard me preach the words of the late 41’ early 42’ Fox books in terms of rare factor. Heritage even lists this USJ2 as being THE rarest Fox book. For perspective Berks copy sold in 2017. There has not been a single public sale of this issue since then!! So almost 5 years go by and none of the auctions houses or ebay have brought even 1 to market. There are only a handful of comics that this could be said about. I was contemplating attempting to upgrade my 3.0 copy when i first saw this pop up…the ship had sailed haha!! Good luck to all who are bidding it is a gorgeous copy and to think if you don’t land this one the wait could be awhile before another pops up!! Mine is NFS btw 🤟☺️

Think it will cross 10k, but we'll see.

Gino do you think it's rarer than Wonderworld #31 or about the same? War angle certainly gives it a higher profile than WW31 so more 'desireable'?

Three of the four 8.0s reside in Houston, though I think this consignment may be one of those so we might soon be down to two.

Was listed before on Bob Storms' site and was sold, now went back again to Heritage. Been around the block. I believe it used to be owned by a fellow board member.
