My lcs aren't that easy to check the area where a barcode could be  and pulling then out that far enough to check with them packed in drawers would risk damage or at the least be time consuming.

They always have a lot of stuff, haha.

Admire the effort though. I do it in dollar bins at certain places like that, its easier than the lcs specifically. I do at the lcs too but harder for newsstands specifically

I pull stacks all the way out of the boxes and go through them one by one so I can see the bar codes. I’m always careful and respectful about it, and I always put them back exactly where they were - nobody has ever said anything to me about it (yet).

I wonder about the Simpsons though. I think at some point it becomes the opposite for them. 
Directs are much harder to find after around issue 100 or so? I see newstands Simpsons
alot, but rarely see directs over 50 and much less past 100. I think they were in Barnes and Nobles
among other places. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

This shouldn't be hard to find it was in 1995, but first copy I have seen. 
Its actually really neat as it reprints the original story.

I just purchased a large lot of newsstands from a distributor's family. They had been sitting on them
for years for no particular reason. All from like 2007 to like 2010 almost all are NM Ive see so far. 
Some books I never seen before as well here are a few below. I think total number is around 150 or so.

Those prices had been on there a long time. I got a bulk deal. I need to go back and see whats left that I missed
next week.

Just between us girls. 

Luck and networking. 
It also helps that I knew what I was looking at and many did not. 

It still will be a lot of work this isn't a short flip on several of these. 
I may slab a few as well.
