Speaking of nuts, those pants are looking mighty tight in the ball region.

Heavily armoured protection, I believe. Sure I’ve seen ricochets in the comics.

I never noticed :whatthe:

I'll be honest, I never did either at the time. But, I gave up paying any real attention after X-Force 1.

I was 14 years old back then.  Liefeld, Larsen, McFarlane, Lee, Portacio, Keith and the rest of the Image Comics roster will always be my favorites.

I do know a lot of you guts hate Liefeld though but I'll always defend him.

I don’t think there’s much artwork that I actively ‘hate’. There’s quite a bit out there that I really couldn’t care less about, though, and Liefeld’s style simply doesn’t do anything for me. Served cold in my case, I guess.

lol

The only good thing I can say about Liefeld is that he is a better artist than Humberto Ramos  🤮

Damn, so to you... he is the 2nd worst artist in comic history?

Ive only ever read or collected modern age comics. I dont know much about the artists from the old days. I do have some copper age stuff. Ive always enjoyed Zeck's work.

Liefelds New Mutant covers were fantastic IMO and I loved X-Force and Youngblood.

The 90s get far too much hate.

That's true.  It wasn't the best decade for comics, but it wasn't all bad.

Some good stuff did start coming out in the mid/late 90s, like Preacher, Transmetropolitan, Stormwatch/The Authority, Planetary, Moore's ABC Comics with Promethea and Top Ten, 100 Bullets, Astro City, Hitman, Morrison's JLA, Invisibles, Kingdom Come, Marvels, Stray Bullets, and Thunderbolts.

All of which Liefeld had nothing to do with lol

Don't forget mullet Superman! :manhero:

And Superman Red / Superman Blue

I love the Superman Blue costume. I know Red's the same but it looks so much better in blue. Still one of my favourite DCUC figures.

I agree.  It looks good, but the comics didn't work for me.

No, the comics weren't good, unless we're allowed to add in what Morrison was doing in JLA while he happened to be wearing the blue costume. Otherwise, I got nothing.

The SA Superman Red/Superman Blue stories were pretty good.

A classic. The imaginary stories were often highlights of that period.

This one's more on me. Michelangelo's supposed to be holding his nunchaku, but all I see is a paint roller or window wiper.
