As much as Kav ridicules Silver Age DC all the time, we know he's actually extremely fond of the Weisinger / Swan / Schaffenberger material.

This ad...... couldn't they some take a few seconds and write dialogue that would actually make kids want to tune in?

"children of earth..... we are not robots.... we are the actual Batman.... Robin... and Superman units..... it is normal for us to all speak at the same time...... come.... have fun... with ussszz".

Is the brawny buzzcut red haired guy actually patting himself on the back or wiping off dandruff?

He's brushing off the dirt from the shovel above him. Each character is having some interaction with the scene in the chain closest to them.

It's somewhat a neat kind of storytelling that could have been illustrated a little better to capture the effect.

I've been slowly selling a collection on ebay and pulled out this comic today.

A DC "Hippy" comic called "Brother Power - The Geek", written and drawn by Joe Simon (Joe must have been smokin' something good while making this one).

It is seriously almost unreadable.  So bad.

The cover says "Here is the REAL-LIFE SCENE of the Dangers in HIPPIE-LAND".

Check out the cover & an interior splash.  Ridiculous.

Just now meeting Brother Power? It’s slightly infamous. Turned out Joe Simon did NOT have his finger on the pulse of the Youth Movement.

How did it even eke out a 2nd issue?

They even interview him in a "letters page" type thing, hyping Joe's LONG AWAITED RETURN to DC.

Would've been in his mid-50s at the time.  Slightly out of touch.

Nicely presenting copy from the front cover, apart from the staple rust, and the miswrap which always polarises opinion.
