Even then, I’m not sure there’s anything here that would go for more than $5 or $10. The key things to watch for are the 40 cent issues dated August through December of 1980, 40 cent variants from January of 1981 and 75 cent Canadian price variants. Thank you, I appreciate it! Since I paid 25 cents an issue, I'll probably just look to sell these off as a lot, recoup a little cash and pass them on to someone who is more interested in them than I am. Popular Post Jesse-Lee
Bought another comic collection yesterday, and it had some beat but complete Whitmans in there. Again, it doesn't look like there's anything crazy here, but I'm ending up with a ton of these from buying collections! Forgot to put this one in the group shot: This was also in the collection I bought, and while not a Whitman, it was nice to find in there: OtherEric, bellrules, ADAMANTIUM and 2 others
bellrules
Great score on the Winnie #1. That book has incredible potential. I think it might reach Scooby Doo status at one point given the longevity of the character.

Mayor006
Overall I've had rotten luck with Whitman covers. I bought a bunch of them over the years inexpensively because of condition or in the case of several I bought at one time, they all had the same problem. Someone was not happy with the fact the issue number wasn't on the cover so they wrote them all in ink randomly so we wouldn't have to wonder what issue they were. My CGC copy of Superman 348 actually has a little home-made sticker with issue number pasted over the “W” logo. onlyweaknesskryptonite, bellrules and OtherEric
OtherEric
I'm particularly fond of this one, where the previous owner wrote "249" inside the CCA stamp. It's issue 248. MAY1979, Brock and bellrules 2
