Articles are being written about the reaction to the The Marvels teaser trailer that there is so much negative responses because they are trolling. Not because they dislike the trailer.

This is, of course, not the first time that a women-led action film has inspired men to devote their precious free time on this melting Earth to hating women. In 2019, men gathered around their screens in droves to post fake negative Captain Marvel reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Captain Marvel was the MCU’s first female-led film since the franchise’s launch in 2008 with Iron Man. Its star, Larson, became a punching bag during the film’s press tour simply for stating the importance of inclusion. The trolling for Captain Marvel was so bad that it forced Rotten Tomatoes to change its policy: The site eliminated the “want to see” percentage feature and disabled comments prior to a film’s release. The Captain Marvel audience score is currently at 45% compared to its 79% critic store. Last summer, Ms. Marvel, Disney+’s show introducing Vellani’s Kamala Khan, drew ire both due to her gender and Muslim heritage, becoming the lowest rated MCU show on IMDB. Marvel’s other female-led show from last year, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, received a similar backlash. 

So the assumption is the reason why it is receiving so many dislikes to likes is men that do not want female-led comic book movies.

That's a thought. A weakly-formed and easily dismissed assumption. And hiding the reaction behind men don't like such movies. Rather than basing it on the teaser trailer content itself.

Without clicking the link, I can't figure out if the fanboys are freaking out about misogyny, or the fanboys are the misogynists, or that anti-misogynists are trolling the trailer about misogyny or that people are freaking out about the trailer being trolled on YouTube.

So confusing anymore.

I’m excited for it. I may not like all comic movies, but as a guy who saw the Dolph Lundgren Punisher movie and Generation X tv show pilot when they came out, I’m thankful they make any and all comic movies in this day and age.

Majority? Did someone claim it was a majority or did you just add a word to try and make your idea sound better?
