The 3-armed Bat cover was previously signed when I got it in a mix of other Bat books. Again, the owner didn't know it was in the mix, and had already given me a price for the bunch. ETA: Ergh!! Popular Post MAR1979 Posted February 27, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted February 27, 2022 (edited) I purchased these 6 books as child or kid when originally on-sale, held on to them in 4 different decades and submitted (and received back) to CGC in 2021. Having my exact childhood copies in the slabs to me are priceless. I'm an extremely strict grader and these are all very strong 9.8's, none were pressed.. Thought I had a shot at a 9.9 on some of them. I've got a 'modern' one that I am equally appreciative of, but I wanted I didn't want to derail the thread. To me (at the time) Todd McFarlane was the best artist working during my formative comic reading / collecting years. Still, less of an eyesore than the usual Stan sig. I wouldn't have noticed it if not for the Custom Stan Lee label & notation that he signed a few months before McFarlane did. That Torment story line in Spiderman is still pretty bleh (I re-read it periodically), but I love those McFarlane Spideys (ASM and Spiderman). Always will. As I've said before the editors really should have got him to pencil Batman fighting some aliens instead. Oh well. The interiors of Invasion Book #2 include a rare treat, McFarlane drawing a host of DC characters! Everyone from Superman to Batman, from Wonder Woman to Captain Atom and even Peacemaker!
