Kind of nail biting in itself, glad it worked out though!

And got my first JSA raw grade with press and this one was likely a 5.5 or a 6 before the press... You were not worried about the Campbell signature having issue with the press? I know sharpies are ok but it looks like it was a paint pen. Im just curious as have some 9.6s I wouldn't mind sending back but a paint pen on a foil cover might not press well for me. But i have seen some lose the depth of color. This was a cgc 9.8, before signing, came back a 9.6... pissed me off. So press and get regrade. Back to 9.8 Now i just want Todd to sign it and it remain a 9.8 ADAMANTIUM and Gator Guru 1

bobotski
I was introduced to CGC back in 2005 and was really into signed books. Was so excited that I bought 2 green label/qualified books. I eventually learned that yellow labels are the real deal and have amassed a collection of them since. For several years I I just held on to my first green labels for posterity, until JSA came along, On their way home now, and happy that they will sit alongside my yellow slabs.. Popular Post wiparker824
Finally getting my books back from Claremont/Wolverine 50th signings, just scanned in and marked shipped today. This is what these books started as: Plus one raw Wolverine 1 1988. So all in all had 3 grade bumps, and just the one downgrade to a 9.4 on a 266. Quite happy as long as they get to me without the inner well bends. cgcsketcherz, AbsoluteCarnage, Skippeydoo and 2 others

I usually send in non-cracked but maybe cracking first is the way to go. Great results overall, congrats!

Thanks. Yeah I always crack unless I’m subbing an already yellow label for an additional sig. Mainly to save on weight / size for cost to ship out but also because I want as little handling as possible by CGC employees. Not that they don’t know how to crack a slab but they’re still employees on the clock trying to work thru things quickly, whereas I am not on the clock and can take my time carefully removing my books.
