I obviously think CGC is in the wrong here.  BUT the right way to remedy might be to notify disney (and affiliates) with this over and over until they tell CGC to stop certifying it.  Any and all official marvel websites and social medias, AND ESPECIALLY well know Marvel Creators - artists and writers.

There must be a place to report this type of stuff.

If anyone knows some of the big wigs at CGC or blackrock they should probably email them too.

I'm looking at a picture, dude. This is a screenshot from a youtube video and, I'm not sure exactly how it happened or how these got graded but people were showing off this 9.9. I was at the show. I  saw this myself. The only reason I'm using the youtube screenshot is because I didn't think I'd ever need evidence of what they were clearly using as marketing at their booth.

What @Aqua Lantern was stating is that these were not graded “on site”, but rather ahead of the show.  The serial number of the 9.9 shows the grade date as being 7/28/22(for example).

Like I said before, I don't know the mechanics of how they were graded or were but they WERE there graded and CGC had a booth, too, and nobody told them to take them down or not make a show of it or anything. On the contrary, CGC seemed to be liking the attention, too.

That one was, at least, published that way with the original staples by DC. This comic literally came out years ago and they're adding a cover now.

Well when I picked it up off the stand, it was crazy. Crazy I tell you!

I once made a joke in here about CGC doing something I thought was so far beyond stupid.....that they would never actually do it.

It was about people taking those "Master of the Universe" and "New Teen Titans" inserts out of the middle of comic books (like DC Presents #26)......and sending just the insert to CGC to be graded.  It was just a sarcastic joke on my part.  But as someone pointed out to me soon afterwards.....I wasn't being funny.....I was just being wrong.

It was at that point I realized CGC doesn't care about this hobby.....or the integrity of the job they're doing.  I believe they once did years ago, and I used to defend them vigorously.

Now, you can literally yank part of the inner guts out of a comic book.....send it in with no cover on it.....and get a high grade, blue label CGC slab returned to you.  So, nothing they do surprises me any more. :boo:

My opinion is the envelope insert is required but the tatooz itself is not. I believe that is how Overstreet had it.

What I find entirely mind boggling is someone can rip away/tear off the Cover and nearly all the pages from a book like JLA 208 or Daring New Adventures of Supergirl 1 leaving just the interior pages that contain the Masters of The Universe story and CGC gladly slaps a blue label on that. Then a book like ASM 238 gets the green label for missing a tiny half inch loose sticker (the tatooz itself) that may or may not have ever been in the book in the first place.

The complete and utter lack of congruence IMHO falls into the category of CGC most surely knows better, but does whatever they want if it brings in a mere penny or two.

Does anyone have a connection for staples that CGC approves for “acetating”? Or a source for the actual acetate cover that CGC approves? I’d like to try this process on all my facsimiles. Seems easier then pressing… with this new process perhaps pressing is obsolete now?

what about regular books @CGC Mike-can I marry a good cover from say superman #200 to the inside of a superman 200 and get a blue label by pulling out the staples then performing the wedding ceremony?
